Transport Manager

Transport Manager – National FMCG Firm

Client:

A new position has emerged for an experienced and confident Transport Manager in Belfast. This firm is a prestigious and highly reputable organisation, at the forefront of its industry. They have a UK and Ireland presence in the FMCG sector and have a reputation of superior customer service with outstanding operational performance, through their adaptability and focus for their clients. This role is a crucial position within the firm, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity and as a result you will have significant experience and exposure in managing the transport function and solutions for the business. You will have the ability to build strong relations across the business, particularly related to the supply chain. You must be able to lead, manage and develop teams across the department, ensuring KPI’s are met and ideally exceeded.

You will have the experience and confidence to take responsibility for all aspects related to Transport and possess the skills to develop the business in line with the overall organisational strategy.

Ideal Person:

In order to proceed with this position, you must be able to demonstrate extensive Transport Management experience in a FMCG environment. You will have a CPC Transport Qualification and ideally hold a degree in Transport, Logistics, or a business or management related discipline. You will ideally have experience in implementing ERP or a similar system. You will have confidence in your ability and proven experience as a successful Transport Manager or equivalent.
