Training and Development Manager

Dublin

€45,000 – €50,000 (9 month contract with potential extension)

I am currently representing a leading financial services client, part of a larger global group. Worldwide, the group has close to 1000 offices, with over 40,000 people employed worldwide and a history spanning over 90 years. This established brand are currently recruiting for an experienced Training and Development Manager, based in their Dublin office with regular travel to Cavan.

The role:

The Training and Development Manager will be responsible for implementing training intervention that support manager to deliver and coach their teams effectively, conducting site based training needs analysis on a regular basis. The successful candidate with design and deliver various training courses to all management levels, responsible for the identification, recruitment, retention and development of Talent and performance management across the Group.

You will develop a Talent Management Strategy for implementation throughout the Group including the management of Training & Development Programmes to meet the future needs of the Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement training interventions that support the managers to deliver and coach their teams effectively.
  • Support and coach the managers through various processes, with particular emphases on objective setting and development planning.
  • Conduct site based training needs analysis in conjunction with the department’s senior leadership team and deliver the agreed solutions.
  • Design and deliver training courses with follow up coaching sessions which are tailored to meet the business requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of this training, outlining the return on investment.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive and appropriate induction process for new employees.

Essential

To apply for this position, you will have 3-5 years experience in a Senior Training Management role, working at a strategic level. You will also have extensive experience of one to one coaching up to Senior Management level, as well as a proven track record of designing and delivering soft skills through workshops and completing training needs analysis.

The ideal candidate will also be educated to degree level and ideally have previous exposure to eLearning.
