Spray Paint Supervisor

Spray Painting Supervisor Job in Co. Tyrone

In partnership with its client CPL is currently seeking a Spray Painting Supervisor in Co. Tyrone. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a progressive and dynamic company.

Spray Painting Supervisor Job Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing our clients Paint Shop to ensure production orders are met on time and all orders meet customer specifications. You will also be required to effectively lead, motivate and develop employees within your area of responsibility.

Duties
• Manage the department to ensure all orders are met in accordance with the production schedule;
• Attend daily production meetings;
• Monitor production throughout the day to ensure employees are working effectively and efficiently, whilst maintaining quality-liaise with the Operations Manager to resolve any issues that may impact on product completion time;
• Anticipate and respond positively and quickly to changing circumstances and priorities-communicate with employees where relevant;
• Monitor quality to achieve the required standards and manage safe working practices;
• Conduct start of shift meetings;
• Monitor and manage department costs e.g. overtime, re-work, and reduce where possible.
• Liaise with other production supervisors to ensure production flows smoothly.
• Manage, motivate, coach and mentor employees to perform effectively;
• Implement and enforce all relevant company policies and procedures;
• Maintain effective communication with all employees;
• Identify and highlight any training needs;
• Liaise with Human Resources to deal with performance, disciplinary and grievance related issues;
• Promote and maintain health and safety standards in accordance with company rules and regulations;
• In conjunction with Human Resources conduct annual performance appraisals.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years production supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment;
• Experience working within a paint shop environment that uses two pack paint;
• Self motivated with strong organisational/planning skills;
• Able to lead and develop people;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills;
• Able to work well under pressure and prioritise workload to meet deadlines;
• Customer focused and results driven;
• Able to work well with all production teams in an environment with changing priorities.
