Senior Pensions Administrator – Belfast

Pensions Administrator or Senior Pensions Administrator – Temporary

Client:

  • Abacus Professional Recruitment are representing one of Northern Ireland’s leading Pension Consultancies to recruit an experiences Pensions Administrator. This isn’t your typical pensions role as there will be elements of hands on project work that will provide excellent experience for the successful candidate. The role is temporary although the firm have a good history of turning these temporary opportunities into permanent roles.

Role:

  • Delivering client project work
  • Completing updates to the database to ensure that records are accurately maintained
  • Dealing confidently with related parties by phone, email and letter
  • Reporting findings and progress at key stages
  • Ensuring that work is prioritised correctly so that target dates are met

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and application of benefit structures, Trust Deed & Rules, Inland Revenue guidance notes, Regulator and Disclosure requirements
  • Calculation of scheme benefits in accordance with the Rules
  • Maintenance of membership records and other documentation
  • Liaison with Client, Scheme Actuary, Consultants, Providers, Pension Payroll, Members and third parties
  • Meeting deadlines

  • Proven expertise in technical, professional or industry knowledge.
  • Able to simplify or impart technical information and/or responds to urgent enquiries, investigates problems and advises solutions.
  • Ability to work with others
  • Decision making – Reviews data, assists in identifying costs/fees, assists in making decisions, exercises judgement and takes responsibility to resolve problems.
