Senior Account Manager

Main Responsibilities

Our client are looking for ambitious and motivated people to help them drive new business within existing and new accounts across the public sector. Account Management is core to this success and the client need people that can forge deep and trusted relationships with their customers, develop an intimate knowledge of their business and best position to deliver high quality, innovative and cost effective services across a long term. If you’re a relationship driven person with a desire to help digitally transform services across the public sector and significantly contribute to their ongoing success, an Account Manager role could be for you.

Overview of Job:

  • Managing a territory of named accounts.
  • Delivering a software quota from the existing account base.
  • Managing escalations and issues within the account base.
  • Working with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver compelling business cases and pilots to support additional software and services sales.
  • Building personal and company reputation and credibility within account base.
  • Build reputation and credibility in the health market.
  • Work with a senior team to build partner relationships.
  • Report on a regular basis on progress and issues affecting sales closures and commits.
  • Develops strong business networks and recognises competitor and partner activity in relevant market areas.
  • Complies, and ensures team members comply, with all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensures security of information at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Experience and Capabilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrable success in a Healthcare software Account management.
  • Clear evidence of success in shaping and developing of accounts and meeting new business targets. Clear evidence of developing and managing sound client relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound understanding of sales and project dynamics.
  • Experience of EDM/EDRM/Workflow or similar technologies.
  • Broad technology sales experience plus a sound awareness of technology trends.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate team members and lead by example.
  • Strong ability to make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of client demands and the company’s commercials.
  • Strong ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Can communicate effectively at Exec. Director / Board level and at Board level with clients and partners.
  • Affable, credible and can communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, including formal presentations.
  • Excellent team player capable of delivering results in less than perfect circumstances.
  • Mature, non-confrontational style.
  • Highly flexible (including willingness to work away from base).
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix management environment.
