Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor, Mainland UK (Mon- Fri)

Hays Recruitment have been retained by a leading NI contractor in their recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor. As one of Northern Ireland’s leading construction firms, this privately owned company has been involved in some of the largest and most prestigious projects across the UK and Ireland, for both public and private sector clients. Due to an increase in workload, and expansion into new markets, a position has become available for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Civil’s Commercial team.

Role

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying with a final classification of 2:1 or above and will have at least three year’s experience with a medium or large contractor. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for quantity surveying duties on a civils project in the mainland UK. This role will require being based in the mainland UK from Monday-Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Prepare and submit project interim valuations.
* Prepare and submit variations.
* Prepare interim cost reports
* Prepare costs to complete forecast and final revenue forecast.
* Prepare and submit cost allowances and cost activity codes.
* Re-measure BoQ items and subcontractors.
* Meeting with and Payment of subcontractor / subcontractor accounts as and when required.
* Prepare and submit Final Account to Employers Representative.
* Negotiation of rates
* Attend regular progress / commercial meetings with Client and Design Team.
* As required assist with the taking off of quantities for tendering purposes
