Production Stream Manager

We are currently seeking to recruit a Production Stream Manager to join a global employer at an exciting time of investment and expansion.

Reporting to the Site / Plant Manager you will be responsible for leading a cross functional team to ensure the delivery of production stream goals utilising the company’s production system.

Duties within this role will include;

  • Lead the production stream team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work
  • Develop Production Stream Strategy, develop and implement a production stream strategy to meet the goals of the site and business strategy
  • Planning all production stream activities in pursuit of the strategy on a master schedule to deliver the strategy on time and in budget
  • Manage and own total cost of conversion in the Production Steam, focusing on systems & operational activity standardisation and improvement.
  • Passionately promote the production stream with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement
  • Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing appropriate Methodologies such as 8 Step Practical Problem Solving within the production stream.
  • Coach 8 Step PPS & conduct periodic assessments to ensure the 8 Step PPS process are being followed.
  • Monitor & Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through implementation of Asset Management System
  • Identification of bottlenecks within the process, report and conduct problem solving with relevant production stream team members
  • Analyse & report conversion performance metrics
  • As part of a wider project team assist and manage the delivery of key projects that have an impact on the production stream

Applicants for this exciting and challenging role will be able to demonstrate;

  • Experience of managing a multifunctional team in a high speed process environment
  • The ability to align the production stream strategy with that of the site
  • Robust understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacturing.
  • Extensive knowledge & understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Thorough understanding of the people processes needed to build high performing teams.
    Ability to solve problems using 8 Step Practical Problem Solving (Desirable)
  • Experience in standardisation of processes (Desirable)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools
