Mechatronic Technician – Week-Ends – 24 hours/week – 12 hr shift – overtime rates

Based within the Production department of a global manufacturing company, this role will offer the opportunity to work on highly automated, modern plant and equipment within a fast moving, volume, production environment.

The scope of the role extends beyond the standard planned and preventative maintenance activities.  For example you will have the opportunity to work within project teams looking at quality, improvement or efficiency initiatives.  The “hands-on” element of the role will be varied, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologically sophisticated plant and equipment, including electro-pneumatics, electrical control systems, PLC  and SMT. 

Ideally candidates will be time-served apprentices/HNC qualified in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.

This is a permanent week end role.  Working 12 hour day or night shifts each Saturday and Sunday.  The rate will be based on an annual salary of £23,500 + shift allowance – x1.5 for days and x2 for nights.
