Mechanical Engineer – 2 Years’ Experience

Through organic growth, a leading manufacturing organisation based in Antrim, is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen their team.

Main Responsibilities

With a prime focus on ensuring continual process improvements, this role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your career in a truly multi-national organisation. You will have the capacity to improve quality, reduce waste and time inefficiencies. Reporting to an inspirational Engineering Manager you will have the knowledge and experience to create and build on existing work methods.

Further responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
• Development of new products and components
• Processing of engineering drawings & data in line with company procedures & systems.
• Performing complex analysis work, identifying and resolving design problems
• Providing technical guidance on product and processes
• Communicating technical information to customers, team members, suppliers and other departments in a concise and accurate manner
• Providing technical support during product validation
• Keeping up to date on new technologies and / or developing new technologies
• Providing technical and general guidance to other engineers as required

Ideal Candidate

In order to proceed with this opportunity you will have a strong academic track record in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a large scale manufacturing environment or FMCG business. Furthermore, it would prove advantageous if you are an expert in AutoCAD, together with knowledge of working in a design/ development environment.
