Material Planning Scheduler – 18 Month Contract

Manufacturing Scheduler – Long-term career prospects

Client:

A Top 100 manufacturing organisation, are keen to source a Material Planner / Scheduler to join their team on a contract basis for at least 18 months. Based in Antrim, this role is due to commence immediately and could lead to further long-term opportunities for the most ambitious individuals.

The Role:

You will be responsible for liaising between Demand Planning/Forecast Materials, Manufacturing, NPI and Order Fulfilment departments to develop a master production schedule. This requires balancing production lines by taking into consideration, production capacity and relevant inventory targets.

Main duties will include:
• Formulate schedule for a 26 weeks demand/supply view.
• Monitor capacity bottle constraints and impact on supply schedule
• Provide short-term forecast to materials and manufacturing via MRP process
• Ensuring adequate material sources
• Support New Product Introduction by understanding product family, time to market plan and forecasted ramp-up plans
• Work with Production Scheduler to validate schedule, report back on any non-conformance to the plans.
• Support Ad-hoc projects related to ERP, Planning or Manufacturing Process Changes.

The Ideal Person:

• Strong educational background including related university degree.
• Experience in an ERP/MRP system structured for a manufacturing environment
• Ability to create and review planning reports
• Good interpersonal skills to work with other functions
• Analytical ability to work with data and system parameters and data set-up
• Proficient in Microsoft suite, with primary focus on Excel
• Be able to communicating in a regular and timely manner
• Experience of Oracle ERP would be a desirable attribute.
