Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing/Assembly)

Our client is a global manufacturing business, supplying niche branded products to OEM’s across the globe.  This role would suit a dynamic, highly motivated engineer with vision and drive, coordinating and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives through the application of lean principles across Manufacturing/Assembly.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead new programs/products including carrying out Design Reviews, Drawing Reviews and BOM verification. 

You will work with the Manufacturing and Design teams, taking the lead to ensure manufacturing solutions meet cost, quality and schedule requirements as well as working with the operations team, innovating assembly and manufacturing processes ensuring efficiency advances are maintained.

In addition, you will act as liaison between Manufacturing and Design, driving design for manufacture and assembly and provide vendor support in terms of manufacturing & design queries, identifying costs and tooling requirements

The role will require strong decision making, organisation and interpersonal skills, developing strong business relationships with people both within and outside the business.

Candidates should hold either a Degree level qualification with a minimum of 6 months experience in an engineering environment or an HNC/HND qualification and 2+ years’ experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
