Client:

VanRath are actively recruiting for a Management Accountant for a growing FMCG organisation based in Downpatrick. This is a new role due to the on-going success and growth of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Director this is a an exciting opportunity to join a market leading organisation.

Responsibilities:

- Preparation of weekly profit statement based on direct cost usage as reported in daily operations meeting.
- Reconciliation of weekly profit statement to monthly Management Accounts.
- Assisting with the further development of the company’s current budgeting model (which includes volumes, and margin by product line) and maintenance of same, flagging any issues.
- Assisting with costings for new products including labour analysis
- Preparation of robust cash flow statements, maintaining and developing the existing cash flow model as required, flagging any issues
- Assisting with the development of overhead budgets, and on-going, reporting on all variances from budget, including communication of same to department heads in order to effect change, reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
- Assisting with the implementation of a Management Information system ( purchase orders, stock takes, Bills of Materials, works orders and picking notes)
- Liaising with Procurement and Stocks Departments to ensure stock take accuracy and appropriate valuations of stock for the purposes of month end accounts.
- Working with the wider team to reduce costs and maximise efficiencies.
- Supporting the Senior Manager – Finance in other projects or duties within reason and capability associated within this role.

The Ideal Person:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with commercial experience, ideally gained within a fast paced environment. You must have exceptional IT skills and be very proficient in Excel with effective communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate complex information in an understandable format to a range of audiences

Remuneration:

Salary for the role will be circa £25-£32,000 and you will work with an excellent team.
