IT Support Engineer (Managed Services)

MCS Group is working with a boutique managed service provider based in Lisburn, who support a variety of top SME’s across Northern Ireland.

This small team are all relatively senior IT professionals with a wealth of experience you would be afforded the opportunity to assume a varied role including project management, installations as well as remote and on-site support. If you are in a 2nd line position or an internal IT position and are keen to progress your knowledge and gain full exposure to all areas of infrastructure, this is your chance to move into this space!
 
Other Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and on-site support for clients and support new installation activities
  • Troubleshoot on software, hardware and network issues
  • Utilise the service desk system to log, track and resolve faults
  • Get involved in the design and implementation of new and updated infrastructures

 
Desirable Skills – (not all required)

  • Experience with Windows Server (from 2003 onwards)
  • Virtualisation experience ( Hyper-V / VMware)
  • Managing network equipment (Netgear, Draytek etc)
  • Back up and replication experience
  • Office 365
  • SharePoint
  • DNS & Domain name management
  • VOIP

 
Salary up to £30,000 including pension, medical insurance and a bonus system. Core hours 9am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday. No on-call except for a statutory holiday rota.
