HR Officer

HR Officer, Part time (temporary) 

Our client, OptimumCare are seeking to recruit a Part-time temporary HR Officer, based at their head office in Newtownards. The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting various human resource functions, to provide a reliable effective HR service that meets the needs and corporate objectives. 

Main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and participate in all aspects of recruitment and selection
  • Lead on managing short and longer term absenteeism
  • Advise and support managers on employment legislation in relation to for example: disciplinary, grievance, whistleblowing, absence, capability, harassment, discrimination, flexible working, maternity.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships across the group
  • Assist with the identification of training needs and opportunities and plan and organise same
  • Report to the HR Manager on department developments and progress.
  • Travel to any location as required by the employer using own transport. 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: 

  • Minimum of two years experience working in similar role
  • CIPD qualified
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Competence using microsoft office, outlook and excel
  • Access to car and driving licence

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Experience using PAMS HR database
  • Experience using crystal reports
