My client is a highly prestigious professional services organisation based centrally in Belfast.

Due to an internal restructure, they are now seeking to appoint a HR Administration Manager, responsible for managing the organisations HR Advice and HR Systems Helpdesk teams based in Belfast.

The Role

To assume responsibility for the overall performance of both teams (8 employees) ensuring that a comprehensive service is provided to the UK HR department and to the wider business.

Specifically, this role is responsible for:

  • Operational management of both the HR Advice and HR Systems Helpdesk teams ensuring that a timely, accurate and consistent service is provided.
  • The recruitment, training, performance management and on-going coaching and development of both teams.
  • The provision of metrics to demonstrate performance against SLAs, undertaking data analysis to identify trends and address underlying issues.
  • Building strong client relationships with HR Managers and Group Managers in UK to facilitate open and honest discussions on performance, ensuring that specialist teams in UK are receiving the support they require.
  • Implementation of continuous service improvements to achieve service enhancements and efficiencies.

The Person

Key requirements

  • Strong team management experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Ability to motivate, support, coach, develop and performance manage staff to achieve excellence.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to influence at all levels and pro-actively respond to feedback, implementing measures to resolve concerns.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills, with ability to multi-task and deal with conflicting priorities and demands.
  • Previous experience of SLAs / performance metrics / implementing process improvements / driving service efficiencies desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (including Excel), with ability to manipulate data and identify trends.
  • Previous experience of utilising a workflow management system desirable.
  • Professional CIPD qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
