E-Commerce Executive

Apple Recruitment Services are working on behalf of their Client to recruit E-Commerce Specialist for their Lisburn Office.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead the company’s e-commerce branding, sales and marketing efforts through the development and implementation of a robust e-commerce strategy designed to promote and sell the company’s unique product range and agree challenging personal sales targets with the Operations Manager.


As a key member of the management team, contribute to the formulation and implementation of the company’s short, medium and long term business strategies and the development of related KPIs.


Identify and implement appropriate technological solutions that will enable the company to provide a professional online sales, shipping and payment structure to both private and commercial customers.


Interpret and articulate customer needs through the development of leading edge e-marketing based solutions such as CRM informed targeted e-mail or social media campaigns, e-zines, adware campaigns, product visuals, etc. designed to promote ranges with lower sales.


Monitor sales and interrogate/analyse metrics in order to determine sales activity by various criteria including demographics, cost of sales, sales performance, sales forecasts, etc. through the use of Google Analytics.


Manage and develop the company’s website, ensuring content, functionality and commercial viability are up to date in order to meet user expectations.


Lead the drive to substantially increase the number of visitors to the company’s website through the use of search engine optimisation.


Provide ongoing customer support through the use of telephone, e-mail or social media contact in order to ensure high standards of customer service.


Monitor and follow through on customer feedback, ensuring all queries are dealt with to the satisfaction of the customer and contribute to technological enhancement, customer care and the company’s approach to quality through the presentation of customer feedback and market research.


Further explore opportunities to increase sales of the company’s products through the use of internet based marketplaces such as E-bay and Amazon, remaining aware of the need for reasonable profit margins.


Represent the company at relevant trade shows and exhibitions as required, building brand awareness for the purpose of securing new business.


Continually review the effectiveness of the company’s export delivery arrangements and explore and develop more cost effective and customer friendly solutions.


Manage the e-commerce and marketing budget, ensuring the company is receiving value for money.


Make recommendations to the management team regarding future e-commerce trends in relation to company requirements.


Monitor technological trends and participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure ongoing awareness of best practice and to strengthen technological knowledge.


Anticipate new and revised technology and ensure that the business is suitably positioned in the marketplace to derive maximum benefits.


Regularly monitor and report on e-commerce financial performance against targets and budgets, produce sales activity reports and present recommendations and suggestions to the Operations Manager to assist with strategic planning and to inform future business direction.


Essential Criteria:

·  Working knowledge of the media advertising and sales industry

·  Experience in the use of Google Analytics and/or other electronic data analysis tools

·  Experience with on-line marketing and social media

·  Understanding of internet functionality including SEO

·  Experience of commercial sales through the use of eBay and Amazon

·  Experience in the use of social media in a business context

·  Able to work flexibly as required to ensure business needs are met

·  Able to travel if required

·  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including effective influencing skills

·  Evidence of strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities

·  Third level education or training in a business discipline with a marketing or e-commerce focus is desirable

·  Competent in the use of MS Office software




Hours or work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Salary is depending on skills and experience. Expected £16-18K plus Commission structure.
