Cost Accountant

Our client is a highly successful multi-site FMCG manufacturer and the world’s number 1 their market, due to continued international expansion they now require a:

Cost Accountant

Based at their global HQ and working as part of the Accounting Team you will assist with the preparation of group product costings, weekly group KPI reporting and quarterly group performance forecasting. This is a varied position that will provide a good platform for professional development within a supportive and positive environment.

Key objectives and responsibilities which may include travel to various sites in the Group include:

  • Manage the design and implementation of a group wide product costing model
  • Work closely with the commercial team providing new product costing models as required
  • Produce weekly customer and product profitability reports
  • Identify areas for margin growth
  • Develop the use of the ERP system to benefit the entire management accounting function
  • Report Group KPI’s weekly for all group sites
  • Present rolling forecasts for various group sites

Skills and experience required are:

  • Qualified management accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience and CIMA or part CIMA qualification
  • An efficiency driven individual with a focus on business improvement
  • Highly Proficient MS Excel User
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel abroad for short periods of time if required
  • A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team using their own initiative
  • An ability to work to deadlines and in pressurised situations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be a Self-Motivator, with a keen interest in business and the economy
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills
