Business Development & Marketing Manager/Executive

Client:

Our client is a long established £3m T/o business supplying commercial interior solutions to an impressive portfolio of retail clients throughout the UK. Priding themselves on their attention to service and quality, an opportunity has arisen as a result of increased workflow.

Role Purpose:

Strengthen pipeline business by identifying appropriate retail/commercial projects to tender for. This role will largely be based in the office pinpointing and qualifying opportunities, staying informed of pertinent information and feeding back to the business for sustained growth.

Daily activities will include identifying and staying informed of the key decision makers within the Industry. This role will also see the appointed individual take ownership of the company image, including digital presence (social media and web) and also through attending trade shows/events.

Responsibilities:

The appointed individual will:

• Work autonomously to manage own workload reporting to directors on weekly basis.
• Take ownership of the business development and marketing function for the business.
• Review and update corporate image.
• Ensuring that the company website is up to date.
• Strengthening social media presence for Company.
• Act in a research capacity, determining upcoming projects/developments which the business could supply services to. Monitor and develop branding ensuring relevancy and appeal to target industry.
• Attend trade shows, network and manage the effective promotion of the business.
• Ensure tender opportunities are identified, qualified and approached in the most appropriate way.
• Liaise with Architects locally and in GB with a view to becoming their preferential partners.
• Ensure correct points of contact are identified and create meaningful relationships with decision makers of multi-site retail organizations.

The Ideal Person:

Essential
• Degree qualified in Marketing/Business related discipline
• Evidences strong tenure/commitment to each employer to date.
• Impressive commercial experience winning business from blue-chip organizations.
• Experience of creating effective marketing strategies, to include social media.
• Ability to pipeline large scale tender opportunities, of a protracted nature.
• Well presented and confident with the ability to present to director /partner level.

Desirable
• Understands the commercial aspects of the construction industry, and ideally commercial interiors. – However other industry experience may be considered.

Remuneration:
• Salary is negotiable and will reflect experience of individual.
• Bonus may be agreed as a reflection of leads generated which convert to business wins.
