Purchase Ledger – Pegasus Experience Needed

Purchase Ledger required commencing an immediate contract with a non-for profit organisation based 5 minutes from Belfast City Centre. This position will be a temporary requirement for the next number of months.

What we’re looking for

This is a full-time permanent role that will provide leadership and oversight to a UK based team of lawyers dedicated to supporting our client, a multi-national telecommunications company, in the drafting, negotiation and management of their commercial contracts.
The Manager I will be responsible for assisting in the effective management of the team, overseeing the drafting and negotiation of contracts, acting as a key point of contact for the client, and continuously developing process improvements, playbooks and templates for the various agreements. The Manager I will have accountability for assisting in the successful delivery of the UK outsourced solution to a world-leading client. Essential Criteria

Admission to the Roll of Solicitors NI or Admission to Roll of Solicitors, Eng & Wales
Minimum 5 years of experience in a high volume commercial law environment;
Proven track record of managing diverse teams;

Demonstrable experience and deep interest in managing to commercial/business outcomes, including responsibility for working within budget parameters;
Ability to manage workflow – efficiently allocating and monitoring work of the team;
Ability to assess performance and coach a team, including quickly identifying areas of under and over performance, providing constructive feedback to team members and opportunities for development;

The legal knowledge to act as an advisor to our client and serve as an escalation point on issues, substantive or otherwise, for the team, while managing and filtering escalations back to the client. The Manager I may also handle some complex matters from start-to-finish;

Ability to develop key client relationships, and accurately report on performance;

Corporate Accounting Manager

MCS Group is working with their client, an International financial services group, to appoint an Accounting Manager for their corporate business in Belfast City Centre.
 
The Accounting Manager will act as a primary point of contact with designated clients on financial reporting and the overall responsibility for ensuring the smooth daily running of the corporate accounting department. Duties will include the management, planning and oversight of the preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis, statutory annual financial reports and corporation tax calculations, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and that the client delivery is in compliance with the Company’s contractual obligations.

Suitable candidates will be fully qualified accountants with a proven record of management within an accounts production and budget variance analysis environment. Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of current accounting standards, specifically UK GAAP with knowledge of UK corporate tax computations and VAT is essential.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and developing relationships with clients, responding to client requirements positively.
  • Develop and maintain efficient and timely delivery of client accounting requirements.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client and all entities within their structure and nature of their business transactions.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are in place to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure current accounting standards and best practice principles are applied to the accounts production and process.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits. 
  • Ensure staff objectives and management goals are agreed, monitored and reviewed.

 
Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA)
  • Sound technical accounting knowledge
  • Proven experience in a management accounts production and budget variance analysis environment
  • Understanding of current accounting standards particularly UK GAAP
  • Experience of UK corporate tax computations and VAT 
  • Previous management experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to enhance client service and service level expectations 
  • Excellent presentational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb organisational, planning and prioritising skill
  • A self-starter who can work well in a team environment
  • Able to meet or exceed deadlines and expectations 
  • Requirement  to contribute to training and development of the team
  • Occasional travel for client meetings
