CNC Operators / Machinists

CNC Operator / Machinist x 2

Our client is a leading manufacturer with excellent facilities who produce and export high end products for the Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Transport and Medical industries globally.

On their behalf we are looking to recruit two experienced CNC Machinists due to increased demand for their products.

The successful candidate will be involved with developing jigs and fixtures using a 3-axis CNC machine while also maintaining used parts ensuring they are well maintained using surface grinding techniques. You will also be highly adept with with hand tools and 3 axis CNC machines.

Ideally applicants will have at least 2-3 years experience in conventional and CNC machining, with substantial experience in CNC essential. The successful applicant will work well under minimum supervision and must be able to demonstrate competence in producing finished components from drawings.

Suitable candidates should have the ability to check work from customer drawings using measuring equipment.

You will also be happy to work on a shift pattern and there are opportunities for overtime work as well.

HNC/HND qualification in a related discipline.
Precast structures experience with an understanding of pre-stressed & precast design.
Fully competent in AutoCAD software packages with good Microsoft Office skills.
Working knowledge of detailing using Revit would be advantageous.
Have a working knowledge of modern building techniques, structural details and materials
Experience in both structural steelwork and reinforced concrete detailing would be advantageous.
Some background knowledge of construction and/or manufacturing processes would be advantageous.
