Our client is a large well known company and is currently recruiting for Purchasing & Accounts Assistant based in Belfast.

 

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following key skills:

 

Essential Criteria

  • Full or Part Qualified IATI, ATT, ACCA, CIMA
  • 2 years experience of working in a busy Accounts office environment
  • Computer Literate – Sage Line 50 & excel experience
  • Ability to manage own workplan and meet pre agreed deadlines
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK

 

JOB

·         Matching invoices to Purchase orders & Delivery Dockets, ensuring authorizations are obtained in accordance with company policy & procedures.

·         Ensuring invoices are coded correctly for entry to sage accounting software

·         Producing supplier payment runs both BACS & cheques.

·         Posting & allocating payments on Sage.

·         Dealing with supplier queries.

·         Accurate supplier statements reconciliation’s to include query resolution.

·         Liaising with internal and external managers to resolve queries.

·         Involved in full purchasing cycle to include monitoring adherence to company procedures.

·         Monitoring and adherence to supplier agreements i.e. price, quality & service.

·         Monitoring & control of use of preferred supplier list, products & services.

·         General office administration associated with a busy Finance Department to include maintenance of Finance Filing Systems.

·         Support the Finance Department on a day to day basis as and when necessary.

·         Other Ad-hoc duties.

 

Salary

·         £18-20k
