Maintenance Electrician – Industrial

The Company:
One of the most successful and prosperous manufacturing companies in Northern Ireland. They are a major employer within the FMCG sector and known famously throughout UK, Ireland and Europe. Due to increased output they require an addition to their considerable maintenance team. This role is based on full time permanent basis and a continental shift pattern

The Role:
The maintenance team provide preventative, reactive and improvement maintenance to their colleagues and ensure customers get their quality product on time. You will provide this complete service along with your maintenance colleagues and work toward overall improvement of maintenance delivery. Duties include:
-Installation of single and three phase
-Electrical fault finding and repair
-Improvement projects
-Basic fault finding on PLC equipment
-Maintain highly automated equipment include packers, sealer’s, slicers etc.
-Read and interpret electrical drawings
-Other duties expected within electrical maintenance

The Requirements:
You will be time served electrician with industrial experience and have proven ability within industrial/manufacturing background.
Experience in a highly automated manufacturing facility would be a distinct advantage

Resource and Training Coordinator

Our client is a hugely successful market leading NI Retail Business, currently experiencing sustained growth and expansion.

They are currently seeking to appoint a Resource and Training Coordinator to join their business on a full time permanent basis.

The Role

To assist in the provision of a comprehensive recruitment service to company-owned stores ensuring that new candidates have a positive interview and induction experience from beginning to end.

The business will be looking for 2 new employees for this function with the option to be based remotely and working from a local store anywhere throughout Northern Ireland. Travel to the Belfast Head Office will be required at least once a month.

Duties

Recruitment

To manage the recruitment cycle of temporary/ permanent vacancies within your business area in a timely manner.

Proactively conduct monthly reviews of any forward resource plan with store/operational management and in conjunction with HR organise vacancy advertising.

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling interviews both externally and internally.

Conduct shortlisting where applicable.

Oversee all arrangements of interviews €“ booking rooms, briefing of interview panels and preparing all relevant paperwork for each recruitment campaign.

Monitor the applicant status of vacancies in conjunction with HR and implement any necessary supplementary actions to boost applicant numbers.

Participate as a member of selection panels for interviews.

Act as a point of contact for Store Managers and HR Department in relation to recruitment queries.

Training

Ensure 100% completion of Company Induction via e-learning modules, through online monitoring of progress, and supporting and influencing performance in your group of stores.

Support Managers to ensure that all stores operating legally with regards to legislative training requirements:

Reviewing completion of Site Induction training for all new starts and transferred employees.

If required, ad hoc delivery of training workshops following identification of Training Needs.

The Person

Essential Criteria

Degree in HRM or business related and/or CIPD Qualified or working towards

GCSE Maths & English

Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Current driving license and use of a car (mileage reimbursed)

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience participating on interview panels.

Previous experience carrying out induction.

The Role

The Person

Ideally in-house recruitment experience within professional services, although other industries considered

Experience of recruiting professionally qualified senior candidates

Proven track record of executing volume recruitment in conjunction with managing more specialist briefs

Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge of core assessment and selection tools. Level A training advantageous

Can quickly pick up full account management of key recruitment areas

Reliability Engineer

MCS Group is proud to be representing Wright Group  in their recent recruitment drive.  They have been in operation for over 60 years’ and are seeing exciting continued growth.

With this growth they are now seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the team.

The Role

You will liaise with Design Engineers and the Engineering department, investigating previous warranty/reliability issues and bringing these up at design reviews.  Your role is to work through stage gates and challenge designs on their robustness ensuring the product being design is to the highest standard available.  You will be instrumental in progressing the design through the specific stage gates.  Your role will also involve using tools such as six sigma, for corrective actions and closing out previous warranty issues.

The Person

You will preferably be degree educated or at a minimum hold a HND in an Engineering discipline.  You will have experience of managing design reviews and validation processes.  Preference will be given to those who hold recognised qualifications or proven experience in six sigma, FMEA, 5S etc.

Salary

£25k – £35k
