Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Electrical Fitter Job based in Lurgan/Craigavon

Our client is a high volume manufacturer (Not within Food sector) and seek to add to their maintenance team due to imminent retirement of a long serving team member.

The Company:
Unique manufacturing company specialising in their sector, they have invested in infrastructure recently due to increased demands and have several decades experience. Known locally as an employer of choice, most of their staff are long serving, a reflection of the quality of the working environment.

The Role:
This Electrical Fitter job has come about due to imminent retirement. As Electrical Fitter you play an integral role in achieving daily outputs and act as technical support to your production colleagues. Remit includes:
-Regular preventative maintenance of unique equipment
-On hand to mend breakdowns on shift
-Implement changes to equipment
-New installation
-Work in tandem with contractors visiting site
-Maintain ancillary equipment
-Contribute to improvement projects that will increase yield or improve costs

 The main responsibilities of this Product Manager role are:

  • Supporting the implementation and configuration cycles on behalf of multiple clients by:
    • Facilitating requirement gathering and solution workshops.
    • Developing the implementation plan.
    • Detailing business requirements for client approval.
    • Detailing technical requirements through the creation of clear development documentation.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the client throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Authoring and running webinars demonstrating new functionality to existing customers, open forum discussions and how-to webinars.
  • Proactively generating white papers and best practice documentation.
  • Supporting the internal development of the platform implementation methodology.
  • Supporting ‘pre-sales’ activities through the provision of software demonstrations and through the definition and articulation of the client implementation path.
  • Planning and delivery of client training where necessary.
  • Contributing to commercial processes and documentation such as SOWs, RFQs, RFPs and ITTs.
  • Getting ‘hands on’ in platform configuration.

 
The Ideal Candidate

  • A Minimum of 4 years commercial experience within a software development, business analysis or implementation consulting environment.
  • Experience and appreciation of modern application development technologies, and agile working practices such as Scrum.
  • Developed knowledge of the trends in information technology, especially ‘Cloud’ computing and SaaS concepts.
  • Experience in the implementation of on-premise or cloud-based business applications such as CRM, ERP, BI or HCM.
  • A computer science or related degree to at least a 2:1 level.
  • Sound communication skills including business writing and excellent spoken and written English
  • A developed understanding of quality assurance / automated testing.
  • Strong communication skills with an affable and credible persona, including formal presentations
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, taking a balanced view of client demands and Kainos commercials
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
  • Good team player with strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
  • A positive “can do” attitude towards the commercial, technical and staffing challenges facing Kainos
  • Highly flexible, including a willingness to work away from home base

First Derivatives PLC seeks two (2) Senior kdb+ Developers to work with the time series database, kdb+.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Will include bug fixing, supporting clients, developing the product roadmap, unit testing and integration testing and developing new enhancements for future releases. A large part of your role will involve knowledge transfer to other employees at HQ and other branches in the UK. You will also be responsible for: design and architecture review; writing compression algorithms; interfaces to third party packages; integration with other Big Data technologies; optimisation of the code base for various microchip technologies; maintenance of benchmarks against industry standards such as STAC.
