Care Assistant

Junior NPI Engineer

We are currently seeking to recruit a Junior NPI Engineer to join a leading manufacturer operating globally at a time of investment in their NI operation.

Reporting into management you will management, control and co-ordination of NPI projects from quote phase through to product realisation, ensuring an effective transfer of the project, in every aspect, into production, whilst ensuring project deadlines and requirements, including regulatory, are achieved. Management of NPI Projects as an individual covering all engineering, material and commercial aspects of a project or as Project Manager of a team of professionals working to a project plan with often challenging time scales. Involvement in the development of the NPI process, including the deliverables necessary at each stage gate to ensure internal and external customer requirements are exceeded.

  • Engineering responsibilities may include engineering solutions for test development, product design, customisation of existing product design and technical support on build to print product
  • Hands on support in model and pre-production build as necessitated by the business
  • Maintenance of appropriate and accurate records
  • Involvement in contract review with respect to all NPI engineering and commercial issues
  • Completion and development of documentation as per the requirements of ISO9001: 2000.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested

Applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate;

  • A relevant 3rd level qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Previous experience gained in a manufacturing setting, ideally to include experience of New Product Introduction

Preferred Criteria

  • In addition to the above, preference will be given to those who have demonstrable experience in cable manufacturing, Electro-mechanical Assembly and System Integration.

Estimator / Junior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking to recruit an Estimator / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist prodvier of fit out services to the local and national marketplaces at their North Down offices.

 

Reporting to the Commercial Manager your duties will include;

·         Meeting with clients to discuss requirements, site surveying and assessment

·         Preparation of bills of quantities

·         Preparation of quotations and works schedules

·         Supervision of onsite works ensuring time frames and budgets

On a daily basis you will supervise a team of warehouse operatives to ensure all staff know what duties are required, pick lists are accurate, deadlines for in-take and dispatch are met, stock placement is accurate, all paperwork is accurately recorded, H&S is kept to a high standard and provide a vital link between office staff and the warehouse floor staff.

 


The Role

  • Responsibility for a team of people with in a warehouse environment.
  • Heavily involved in the ongoing training and recruitment of warehouse staff, ensuring best practice is shared and weaker staff are given training & support to improve.
  • Involvement in the running of the Regional Distribution centre to ensure there is no issues or shortages in stock within retail businesses.
  • Work with the Section Manager to meet the department targets.
  • Monitor day to day operations of department in relation to write offs, inventory, productivity and standards.
  • Responsibility for quality of fresh produce supplied to our stores, ensuring all produce is handled, stored and delivered in such a manner to ensure the highest quality standards.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • You will have a min of 2+ years as a warehouse supervisor ideally dealing with short-shelf live food.
  • Team orientated, ability to support, develop and lead by example.
  • Motivated and flexible
  • Excellent numerical and people management skills, this will include ability to use custom warehousing IT systems.
  • Hard working and able to thrive under pressure,  you will also need to be relatively  physically fit to work in this environment as it will involve movement of goods on a daily basis.
  • Career Orientated, you will be keep to progress your career with a forward thinking fast moving company.
  • Prepared to undertake full training in your new position
